“This is a bronze statue of an Indian Shaman silhouetted against the largest section of the Milky Way. I took this at Seminole Canyon State Park and Historical Site about 2am one morning. West Texas is known for having the darkest skies in the continental US which makes star gazing friggin awesome.” – Ric J

“This photo was taken along the coast of Maine near Pemaquid Point. That particular evening was pretty dreary with the chilly winds and heavy rainfall. I was just about pack it up and head back to my warm cabin when very small patch of clouds parted almost directly above me to reveal the awesome colors of the sunset taking place above the storm clouds. The wet rocks directly in front of me were reflecting those bright colors which only lasted a few minutes but just long enough to get a decent shot. It’s sorta nice when you get one of those “in the right place at the right time” kinda moments!” – Ric J

“Pigeon Forge, TN at about 4am and came across this old mill. It was 40 degrees…clear skies…and not a sole around! Nice!” – Ric J

Fall colors in Arkansas…
“I spent five days of last week traveling through Arkansas and in between the fog and the rain every day I found a few photo opportunities. I found this old barn in Boxley Valley.” – Ric J

“I came across this pier on Cape Hatteras that had been destroyed by a hurricane. It wasn’t much to look at so I thought I would leave a little to the imagination and capture just the reflection on the beach.” – Ric J
